Austin Landfill - Where to Dump Your Trash
The Actual Name is Austin Community Landfill - Not City of Austin Dump
I had a very hard time finding out where to dump all the trash from a recent remodel. Too many organizations, too many broken links. All I wanted to do was dump a load of trash and not drive too, too far. Hopefully this post will help others get you to where they need to go.
What you need to know:
- Waste Management requires people unloading waste in the landfill to wear a safety vest. - if you do not bring one, you must pay $5.00 for one at the gate
- All open loads (pickups and trailers) should be covered with a tarp when they arrive at the landfill (this is required by state law).
- Each Residential load - regardless of how big - is $62.00
